Our Superintendent
Jill Proulx, Ph.D.
Dr. Jill Proulx has been Superintendent for the Silver Lake Regional School District since February 2020. Prior to joining the Silver Lake family, she had served as an Assistant Superintendent of Schools, Principal, Assistant Principal, Curriculum Coordinator, and a high school teacher. As a teacher, she was the New England History Teachers Association Horace Kidger Award Winner and the New England History Teacher of the Year in 2007. As a Principal, Jill Proulx was recognized by the Anti-Defamation League in Washington, D.C. where she received the “A World of Difference” Award and the Sol Kolack Education Award for the promotion of interfaith, dialogue, understanding, and respect.
Dr. Proulx earned her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College in 2011. She earned both her Master's degree in American History and a B.A. in History from Brandeis University.
Dr. Proulx believes in the limitless potential of all students. She has made a commitment to help all students learn, grow, and dream the impossible. She has worked with staff, students, and the community to define how we intend to get there, set priorities, and relentlessly pursue the intended outcomes for our children.
