Social Media Safety
There is an online video coming through different social media platforms called the “momo challenge” that is the latest viral challenge directed at children and young adults. We recommend that parents talk to their children about these kinds of challenges and other potential dangers of social media in a way that they feel is appropriate for their understanding. Curriculum Guides for Families
Family Guides to the Standards are designed to facilitate content-rich communication and collaboration between schools and students' families. Available in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Chinese (simplified characters), the guides articulate grade-level expectations for ELA/literacy, math, and STE (HSS coming in 2019) in accessible, jargon-free terms. They also include conversation starters for home and school.
