STUCO Class Elections!

Primary Elections for the Class of 2027 (Secretary and Treasurer) will take place on Monday, May 6th. The purpose of a primary is to narrow the number of candidates running for a position down to two. Those two will run against each other in the General Election. General Elections will take place on Tuesday, May 7th. 

All ballots will be sent to your school email at 7:30 the morning of the election and will close at 12:00.

We typically meet the first and third Tuesday of every month in the Large Group Room.

Our Mission Statement:We strive to promote school spirit, foster leadership and inclusivity, and be of service to the school and community in everything we do. Student Council provides all students an opportunity to use their student voice in order to make Silver Lake a better place for everyone. Our organization is composed of an Executive Board, Class Officers and Class Representatives in grades 9-12.

Organization Structure:Student Council is run by an Executive Board consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Historian, Publicity Coordinator, Committee Coordinator and Senior, Junior and Sophomore Delegates. It is their responsibility to ensure that our mission statement is the driving force behind everything we do.

Officers that represent each class are also members of Student Council. Officer positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Historian.

Class Representative, who are appointed by the Executive Board are also members of Student Council. To become a class representative, you must complete the application/interview process as established by the Executive Board. Students in grades 9-12 are eligible to be appointed to this position.
